When I accompanied my father to the auction of the remaining contents of Rene Magritte’s Studio. Being involved himself in the Surreal art movement this was a must for every art dealer in Belgium who took himself serious.
When I saw the art lifestyle, surrounded by splendid museum quality art pieces, exchanging with passionate people, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. When I realized that the works of art was the most beautiful testimony of our history.
I was 22 and started my formation as an art historian in Brussels, meanwhile I was studying restoration of painting. My interest was technical and more focused on old masters. Our rich patrimony as an inspiration led me to be a part of this market.
The Gallery is filled with all these experiences. Allowing me to share my passion about painting, no matter the time, the tag, the artist name or price… Just the love for beautiful pieces throughout our history.
